Though we are in the beginning stages of this Association it is our prayer that God will bless in the way only He can.
After contacting many artist in a survey, We have come to these conclusions:
1- New venues are needed, created in and by the Association Members.
2- The Association should encourage and help develop Newer Groups and Upcoming Artist.
3- Promote and maintain cooperative attitudes among artist and members.
4- Promote other State functions that support and promote Southern Gospel Music.
5- To ensure that "any" activity sanctioned by the Mississippi Gospel Music Association be Christ Centered, and for the advancement of Southern Gospel Music. (this should be number one)
6- The Association should through all its powers and influences maintain a growing and ongoing relationship with the younger generation.
These are only a few suggestions from just a few artist. As stated above we are only beginning and as time goes on I'm sure this will all be more properly written.
We will be working on this site at a very fast pace and mistakes will be made I'm sure, but with your help we can make this work.
Plans:
Writers from Local groups, articles about happenings, maybe even a featured artist each month.
Promotions of concerts, artist contact information and web pages, church contact info, and the list goes on.
