July 2008 Featured Artist Of The Month
"Heavenly Journey, by definition, would be a trip more enjoyable than words can express.  That is what we are waiting for on that glorious day when we shall go to meet our savior Jesus Christ.  Until then, we at least hope we can give others a pleasant journey, a journey to meet the Holy Spirit with music as their guide and stimulus.  We consider ourselves to be not only ministering to our listeners, but to be encouraging them in their own journey with Jesus."
    Heavenly Journey presents a wide variety of southern Gospel styles, from the traditional hand-clapping and foot patting music from the '60s to a blend of today's ballads and the exciting fast-paced songs.  It doesn't matter if you like them slow or fast, you're gonna get it all when you hear Heavenly Journey.  So when you come to one of Heavenly Journey's concerts, sit back and get ready for southern "fried" gospel.
   The members of Heavenly Journey include founder/manager Tim Hendricks, Karen Hendricks, Tim Arinder, Gretta Arinder, and Patrick Hendricks.  The sound man for the group is Jonathan Hendricks.
   In addition to being members of the Mississippi Gospel Music Association, they are members of the Mississippi State Quartet Convention, and also promote/produce several events throughout the year.  These events include, but are not limited to, Gospel Slam and Gospel Mania, both presented from the wrestling ring.  Gospel Slam is presented every year in February, and Gospel Mania, the "World's Only Tag-Team Gospel Singing", in September.  If you would like to be involved with either of these events, or others, please feel free to contact Heavenly Journey at heavenlyjourney@hotmail.com.

Gospel Music Expo expands to new venue:
"We are proud to announce that Gospel Music Expo is being taken to another venue.     The dates are October 31st and November 1st , 2008, at the Bonita Lakes Mall in Meridian, MS.   We trust that all of you will want to be a part of this great event, and it is a great opportunity to showcase your talent to a whole different audience.  Meridian is a larger city than Tupelo, and there should be some great opportunities there."
